Customising proposal follow-up messages
With Pro, Sammy can follow up on unanswered proposals by email on days 2, 5 and 10. You can change the wording for each reminder.
To turn follow-ups on, see what stops them, or cancel them after sending, read Automatic proposal follow-ups.
Edit a message#
- Tap a follow-up date in the proposal send screen or in Messages to open Follow-up preview.
- Tap Edit under the email you want to change.
- Write your message. Keep fields such as [Client first name] and [Proposal] where you want Sammy to fill in the client's name and the proposal link. Tap Add field to insert one where your cursor is.
- Tap Save. The preview shows your saved message with the details filled in.
Cancel leaves the saved message as it was. Use Sammy's wording puts Sammy's original wording back in the editor; tap Save to keep it. Closing the preview discards unsaved edits.
You can edit a scheduled reminder while it is still pending. Once it starts sending, it cannot be changed. Messages can be up to 5,000 characters.
Use your wording for future proposals#
Before saving, tick Use for future proposals. This saves the wording for the same day's reminder on proposals you send from then on. For example, editing day 2 does not change days 5 and 10.
Other proposals' already scheduled reminders keep their existing wording. A proposal you have customised keeps its own wording when resent.
If you're on a team, everyone on the team sees and sends the same wording for a proposal. Your future proposals wording is personal: it applies to proposals you send, not your teammates' sends.
Keep the automatic fields when reusing wording. If you type a client's name directly, that exact name will also appear in future proposals. The [Proposal] field adds the proposal number and links to the proposal in the email. Your subject line continues the original proposal conversation.
Email follow-ups are available now. SMS follow-ups are still coming soon.
