Who Accepted My Quote?
Open the estimate and look at its acceptance details. New online responses show the name the person entered, their optional position, the time and via the proposal link. The same name appears in Messages and the client's Activity Timeline.
Clients must enter a name for both acceptance and decline. If someone forwards a quote, the person responding should enter their own details. These details are provided by that person; Sammy does not verify their identity. An email mismatch notice means their entered email differs from the original recipient's address.
On acceptance, a confirmation is sent to the entered email and the original recipient, if different and not opted out. A decline can include an optional reason, shown with the response.
What if they accepted over the phone or sent a purchase order?#
Set the estimate's status to Accepted. In the details form, add the person's name, method and date. Choose Purchase order to attach a number and file. You can Skip and add details later from the estimate. Sammy still records who marked the estimate accepted.
What about older quotes or ServiceM8?#
Older records may not identify the actual person who responded. Sammy cannot reconstruct those missing details. ServiceM8 responses are labelled as coming from ServiceM8, without inventing a signer.
Is there a drawn signature or signed PDF?#
Yes. When signature acceptance is enabled for your account, turn on Require a signature to accept for the quote before sending. Clients can draw a signature or type and adopt one, then confirm the acceptance statement.
For newly sent quotes, the signed PDF fills the Client acceptance block with their name, position, signature and date, followed by a Certificate of Acceptance. The original proposal is kept separately. Open the estimate's acceptance details and choose Download signed copy; clients can download their copy from the confirmation page. Acceptance emails include the signed PDF when preparation succeeds and it fits the attachment limit.
Quotes without a signature requirement still record the person's name and acceptance, but do not produce an electronic signature or signed copy. Manually marking a quote accepted also does not create a client signature.
See Requiring a Signature on Quotes for settings, downloads and retrying a copy that is still being prepared.
